Doula services

Throughout history, women have supported each other during motherhood, offering care and guidance through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Today, this role is often fulfilled by doulas, who provide the same essential support. Accompanying women during such a special time remains an incredible and magical experience.

When would you need a doula?

Every woman’s journey is unique, and I provide tailored support to meet the specific needs of each individual and family—even starting before pregnancy. Below are common concerns I’ve addressed, but don’t hesitate to reach out if your situation is different. My role is to support you through every step of your experience.

All my support packages are centered around a series of visits that typically last between 1,5 hours and 3 hours.

At the start of each visit, we’ll sit down together to discuss how you’re feeling and how I can best help you feel supported and nurtured that day. This may include any of the following:

PREGNANCY SUPPORT - Clarify how the French and Swiss health system works, both public and private. - Help you choose a hospital, gynecologist and other professionals you need in the process (physiotherapist, osteopath, etc.) - Support you on medical visits to help you with the language, or just to make you feel accompanied. - Offer you personalized or group pre-birth classes in English or French. - Help you with the bureaucratic paperwork. - Help you prepare your own birth plan in English and French so that you can share it with your health care staff. - Compassionate and active listening during pregnancy. - Information on possible physical and emotional changes during pregnancy - Education on the physiology of childbirth - The role of the co-parent - Support and guidance for pain management during labor - Support and information on breastfeeding - Addressing your questions about your relationship and sexuality

PRESENCE AT BIRTH*: - Ensuring a calm and reassuring environment for the birth - Support with position changes and providing physical, emotional, and mental comfort during labor - Pain management techniques (Hypnobirthing, massage, rocking, vocalization, etc.) - Emotional support for the co-parent - Welcoming emotions with kindness and without judgment - Encouragement and confidence in your ability to give birth - Adapting to the mother’s needs—offering relaxation, joy, or stepping back as needed - Simplifying and clarifying medical information - Setting up and preparing the birth environment at home (birthing ball, bathtub, towels, cleaning, etc.) * My presence at the birth depends on the place of delivery and the medical staff's authorization to allow more than one person in the birth room.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT - Compassionate listening and emotional support for the mother and co-parent - Nurturing the mother-baby bond and the foundations of secure attachment - Breastfeeding support and guidance - Support for bottle-feeding newborns - Information on responsive parenting if desired (skin-to-skin, baby wearing, co-sleeping, free movement…) - Physical and emotional support during postpartum recovery - Guidance on the role of the father or partner in the first weeks of the baby’s life - After childbirth you have to complete forms in French, it’s complicated enough for someone here. If you have any doubts I can help with all the paperwork. - Practical information on newborn development (sleep, alertness, milestones…) - Support for maternal mental health challenges - Preparing nourishing and restorative postpartum meals and snacks - Providing postpartum pantry tips, meal planning and simple nourishing meal ideas - Setting up a meal train with friends and family - Light housekeeping and laundry - Errand running including grocery shopping (at your expense) - Connection with perinatal professionals or parent support groups if needed - Taking care of baby so that you can rest or shower - Newborn care assistance so parents can bond with older children

  • Preparation course with HypnoBirthing techniques  (5 sessions of 1.5h)

  • Help with preparing your birthing preferences (birthing plan).

  • Unlimited phone calls, email, and text support providing support throughout your pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum.

  • 24/7 on-call between 38-42 weeks.

  • Continuous phone support throughout your birth at home, hospital, or birthing center.

  • 1 postpartum visit.

  • Lots of love, hugs, warmth, positivity. Empathy and compassion too!

Doula last minute

I encourage you to contact me early in pregnancy to ensure my availability, though I understand that this is not always possible. This service is available after the 38th week of pregnancy.​

  • 1 prenatal visit.

  • Unlimited phone and email support (from the moment you book my services).

  • 24/7 on-call from the time of booking until the baby is born.

  • Continuous phone support throughout your birth at home, hospital, or birthing center.

  • 1 postpartum visit.

  • Lots of love, hugs, warmth, positivity. Empathy and compassion too!

Golden month

The perfect postpartum package offers weekly visits for the first 6 weeks postpartum. (Each visit typically lasts between 2-3 hours)

  • Initial 2 hour postpartum planning session in your home prior to the birth of your baby

  • A ‘Fill Your fridge’ cooking session 

  • A welcome food basket to help nourish you during the first couple of days after giving birth 

  • Text message support in between visits

  • Unlimited phone and email support (from the moment you book my services).

  • 24/7 on-call from the time of booking.

One of the key roles of a doula is to provide evidence-based information.

If you don’t want or can’t afford full doula support, you can still count on me to guide you through specific topics, answer your questions, and help you feel more prepared.

That’s exactly what single consultation are for! These one-hour online allow you to get the support you need from the comfort of your home.

  • Birth Plan: What is a birth plan? Why is it important? What should you consider and why?

  • Induction: Are you being offered an induction? What is the standard protocol in France and Geneva ? How can you prepare?

Parenting Skills Training Program – Barkley Groups

The Barkley Method is a therapeutic approach designed primarily for individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), particularly to help manage symptoms of inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. It focuses on behavioral management, skill-building, and enhancing self-regulation.

The Barkley Method integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques and is tailored to the specific needs of individuals with ADHD, aiming to improve functioning at home, school, or work.​

Do I need a doula if I have a doctor or midwife?

Yes! A doula works alongside your medical team to provide personalized support and ensure your emotional needs are met. A doula cannot perform any medical care / treatment.

Can a doula provide medical advice?

No, a doula does not offer medical advice. They provide informational support, helping you make informed decisions based on your birth preferences.

What is the difference between
a midwife and a doula ?
When should I hire a doula?

A midwife provides medical care during pregnancy, labor, and birth. A doula focuses on emotional and physical support, but does not provide medical care.

It’s best to hire a doula early in your pregnancy, but you can hire one at any point during your pregnancy.
